Permanent System IG 541
IG 541 is used to extinguish fires in sensitive areas, such as: in areas of call centers, computers, vulnerable devices, machines, etc. IG 541 is a mixture of Nitrogen (52%), Argon (40%) and Carbon Dioxide (8%), it is odorless, colorless, non-corrosive and because it consists of gas that is freely present in the atmosphere, it does not affect ozone and has zero effect on the increase of the heat of the atmosphere. IG 541 extinguishes the fire by reducing the level of oxygen in the space below 13% (the point where most materials stop burning). At the same time, the percentage of Carbon Dioxide contained in the mixture protects anyone trapped in the area of fire from the low level of oxygen. This is because when the Carbon Dioxide contained in the blood and which controls human breathing increases, then the transport of oxygen to the brain increases accordingly. Thus, if a person is exposed to an environment with an oxygen content of less than 21%, which is normal, then he suffers hypoxygonia, which is a dangerous condition. The existence of Carbon Dioxide in IG 541 creates dilation of the arteries that supply blood to the brain, resulting in an increase of about 15% of the oxygen transferred to it compared to the normal atmosphere. The IG 541 is stored in bottles with a capacity of 16, 40, 60, 67.5 and 80 liters.
SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
Single or multiple cylinder systems are applied depending on the volume of the protected areas. In a Multi-Cylinder System, the Pilot Flask is used to activate the system cylinders. The Pilot Bottle is automatically activated using the detonator which is triggered by the Fire Detection-Extinguishing Panel of the System. The Table receives a command from a Detection System consisting of pairs of Heat Detectors and Smoke Detectors. It is manually activated either by pushing the Shutter Piston or by a Remote Manual Activation Knob. The "Pilot" Cylinder Slide is connected via a High Pressure Flexible EPDM Tube to the 1st cylinder shutter of the system. In essence, when the Pilot Cylinder is activated, the propellant gas activates pneumatically the Shutters of the main System Dioxide Cylinders (the Shutters of the main Bottles of the System are connected by Flexible EPDM High Pressure Pipes). Once the main Flasks of the System are activated, the Extinguishing Material is forwarded through Flexible EPDM High Pressure Pipes to the System Collector from where it is driven to Launchers.
