Local Dry Dust Application System – Fuel Stations
The biggest danger at a service station is fire. Fuels are highly flammable liquids, which can create explosionable vapors even at very low temperatures. Dry Dust is the extinguishing agent for suppressing fires from solid, liquid & gaseous fuels. In fuel pumps, special provisions provide for the installation of an automatic fire detection and suppression system with the provision of alarm signals & extinguishing means the dry dust.
The purpose of the installation of an automatic Fire Detection-Suppression System is the early detection of the fire with corresponding alarm signs with audible or visual means in the controlled area and finally the suppression of the fire with specialized means. The Mobiak Land Dust Local Application System can operate both Automatically (activation through a Fire Detection System) and Manually (Manual Activation Mechanisms) and is strictly provided for fire detection-suppression in the pump areas of the Service Station. During the Automatic Operation, pairs of Heat-Smoke Detectors placed above each Pump monitor the area and in case of fire, a signal transmission is carried out to the Fire Detection-Extinguishing Table of the System. Automatically follows continuous Audiovisual Alarm Marking and after the lapse of 0-80 seconds (detonator time delay), the Table activates the Fire Extinguisher resulting in the extinguishing material flowing from the fire extinguisher's container through a Hydraulic Piping Network to dry dust launchers (local application) from which it is ejected to the protected pumps of the service station. The Manual Activation of the System is carried out either by an Electric Manual Activation Knob or directly from the Fire Extinguisher shutter piston – manual thrust (without alarm marking). The Legislation stipulates that a 25Kg of ABC40% Local Dry Powder Fire Extinguisher must be placed for protection of 2 Pumps per Islet.
